How To Oven Roast Peanuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Place raw peanuts in a single layer in shallow baking pan.
  • For unshelled peanuts (peanuts still inside their shells): Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
  • For shelled peanuts (peanuts with shell removed): Bake 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Stir once or twice during cooking time.
  • Cook until slightly underdone.
  • Peanuts continue to cook when removed from oven.
  • Let cool 10 minutes before eating.
  • Store unshelled roasted peanuts in an airtight container up to one month on the shelf, 6 months in refrigerator or 12 months in freezer.


Honey Roasted Peanuts Yields ~3 cups


  • 16 oz peanuts
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt


  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Line a baking tray.
  3. Place peanuts in a medium bowl (large enough to stir the peanuts).
  4. Microwave honey for 30 seconds and pour over the peanuts.
  5. Add half of the sugar and the salt, stirring well.
  6. Spread onto the baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, making sure to stir the peanuts on the edges in to prevent burning.
  7. Let cool for 2-3 minutes and then stir the peanuts, scraping the honey from the trayt to coat the peanuts.
  8. Sprinkle with 2 tbsp sugar and stir again.
  9. Sprinkle with remaining sugar and let cool completely.
  10. Break up the peanuts into single/smaller pieces and store in an airtight container.
