Electric Pink

This Cordyline banksii generates multiple shoots to form a clump of brightly coloured pink and purple striped leaves. Compared to Cordyline australis varieties which can grow in excess of 3 m tall, Electric Pink only grows to 1.2 m in height.

The vivid pink, vertical leaves of Electric Pink make an extraordinary statement when planted against green or yellow dominant backgrounds. Electric Pink is in high demand because of its outstanding colour in landscaping situations, both for garden planting and as a focal plant in patio containers. It provides year round colour, particularly in winterised gardens when its colour intensifies.

Once well established after planting, Electric Pink is extremely heat tolerant withstanding temperatures in excess of 40 degrees Celsius. It is cold hardy to 5 degrees Celsius. Below 0 degrees Celsius the foliage will die back with regrowth from the stem base dependant on the amount of protection provided to the roots, and the age of the plant
