Caramelised Figs with Chocolate Ricotta

Backyard Treats - Caramelised figs with chocolate ricotta


  • 6 thick slices crusty bread (such as ciabatta)
  • 150g (3/4 cup) fresh ricotta
  • 6 slices prosciutto
  • 3 fresh ripe figs, cut into quarters
  • 2 tbs honey
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Lime wedges, to serve


  1. Toast the bread until light golden and crisp. Spread each slice with ricotta.
  1. Top each slice with a slice of prosciutto and 2 fig quarters.
  1. Divide toasties among serving plates. Drizzle with honey and season with pepper. Serve immediately with lime wedges, if desired
