The best backyard variety. A beautiful evergreen tree producing mediumsized oval fruit with purple-black, pebbled skin and soft, green flesh when ripe.

This variety has the longest harvest time as the fruit will store on the tree for up to ten months, at the expense of the following years crop. Ripen fruit at room temperate after harvesting and use fresh in a variety of dishes or to make guacamole.

Grows best in a warm, sunny position in well-drained soil with protection from frost. For best results, mulch well after planting and fertilise in spring with a high nitrogen fertiliser. Regular pruning will keep the tree to just 3m high.
